Your queue reaches the door. Good. Now it moves too.

11.37 am. Lunch is sold in an hour and a half. When the queue reaches the door, some guests turn around and eat somewhere else. Many pay part with a lunch benefit and the rest by card, and that is exactly what slows the queue down most.

With Solmio, the same device is the staffed till and the guest's self-service checkout. In the rush it switches to self-service, and in quiet hours back to a normal till.

The same day with Solmio, 11.37 am. The queue splits in two. Some guests pay the lunch benefit and the card themselves at the end of the line, and the staffed till serves the guests who need help. Nobody turns around at the door, and your staff have time to keep the serving line full.

One queue becomes two

In the rush, some guests pay on their own. The staffed till serves the guests who need help.

Lunch benefit and card in one go

Guests pay part with Edenred or ePassi and the rest by card, right on the device.

One device, two roles

Self-service runs on the same device and POS as the staffed till. No separate system and no second monthly fee.

A self-service checkout at the end of a lunch buffet, with guests serving themselves in the background.

Self-service at the end of the line

Guests take their plate, pay and head to a table. Products and prices match the staffed till, because you only change them once.

Frequently asked questions

Can guests pay part with a lunch benefit at the self-service checkout?

Yes. Guests can pay part with Edenred or ePassi and the rest by card, on the same device.

Do we need a second device for self-service?

No. The mode switches on the same device, and self-service adds no second monthly fee.

How do we update the day's menu?

You change the menu once in the morning, and it updates on the till and the self-service checkout at the same time.

What if the internet goes down during lunch?

The till keeps working. Sales are saved on the device and reach your reports when the connection returns. Card payments usually need a connection, so cash and other payment methods are used during the outage. Some credit cards also work offline.
