  • How does payment intermediary pricing work - and what does it cost for a big event?

    For major events payment intermediaries' costs are often the single most significant cost in payment. It is therefore important to have a model that is transparent, competitive and scalable to the volume of the event.

    Intermediaries' costs are the biggest expense - this is why

    Each card and mobile payment includes:

    • Transaction fee
    • Percentage-based payment the amount of the payment
    • Possible additional charges for certain cards (e.g. business cards)

    In large transactions, where thousands of payments are processed, these costs can easily rise thousands of euros - even if equipment and system costs are low.

  • How do drink tickets work in Solmio?

    Solmio drink tickets are fully digital eVouchers, which make the distribution, use and control of drink tickets much easier and safer than traditional paper tickets.

    Unique QR code - one ticket, many products

    Each drink ticket is a personalised and unique QR code, under which one or more products can be associated, such as drinks, VIPs or meals

    The code works in real time on all your company's POS terminals.

    Instant deployment

    Tickets can be shared:

    • by email
    • On WhatsApp
    • Wallet (Apple/Google)
    • or in print 

    So the visitor can use their drink ticket directly from their phone without paper vouchers.

    Real-time access and monitoring

    When a drink ticket is used, it is recorded immediately to the Solmio POS system, and you will see:

    • how many tickets have been used
    • at which point of sale
    • and at what time 

    No more ambiguities or hand-counted stacks of vouchers.

    Digital drink tickets make it possible:

    • pre-sales in the event's online shop

  • What do you do in the event of a disruption?

    The most important thing about events is that sales do not stop at any point. That's why we always build our solutions with multiple layers of security - so you can focus on the sale, not the technology.

    Critical components are duplicated

    We aim to duplicate all key parts of the system. This ensures that a single failure does not stop the entire sale.

    Network connection: multiple backups

    Each cash register has its own SIM data connection, which acts as an automatic backup connection.

    We will also build a private 4G network or a separate wifi network at the venue to ensure that the connection is always as stable as possible.

    If one connection fails, the other seamlessly takes over.

    Payment intermediation: two payment services as a back-up

    We recommend using two different payment intermediaries/payment service providers.

    This way, payments will still flow even if there is a disruption in one or the other - sales will not stop at any one service.

    POS system: 100 % uptime and offline backup

    The Solmio POS system has had a 100 % lifetime since its inception - the system has never had to be shut down.

    But we are still prepared for anything:

    The cash register can be used offline in case of temporary network failures.

    Some payment intermediaries also support instant offline payments

    Solmio builds an environment for event and festival sales where sales always continue - no matter what the situation.

  • How does Solmio facilitate inventory management at events?

    Solmio offers a full range of services for event sales integrated inventory management, which makes it easy to keep track of and replenish products, even in a hurry. Everything works together in real time, so sales never come to a sudden halt due to out-of-stocks.

    Solmio connects the POS system and the warehouse so that all sales and changes made in a transaction are automatically updated:

    • Sales reduce balances in real time
    • Product changes are updated directly to the cashier

  • What do I need to set up a point of sale - and how flexible is it to use the cash register at an event?

    Setting up a point of sale with the Solmio POS system is extremely easy. You basically need only electricity and sales space - we deliver everything else pre-installed.
