Creating a product

Create products easily Solmio HQ via the cloud by logging in with your admin credentials at https://hq.solmio.net/#!/login

Select from the sidebar Products

  • Select Add a new product.
  • Fill in the necessary product information. The PLU code is the unique identifier of the product, you can specify it
    freely and is only visible in the HQ service. The reporting name is displayed in the reports and the customer's
    in the receipts.

  • PRODUCT BUTTON LAYOUT
  • In "Button text 1", enter the text you want to appear at the top of the product button. Note,
    that the text is only displayed when the product button is not set to a separately loaded image.
    In "Button text 2", enter the text you want to appear at the bottom of the product button. This is
    the text remains visible even if a separately uploaded image is placed on the product.
  • Under Product button, you can upload your own product icon for the checkout button. Use the PNG image format to create a transparent icon.

  • PRODUCT FEATURES
  • Enter the barcode of the product if a barcode reader is connected to the cash register.
  • Choose the correct VAT rate for the product.
  • Select the correct Product Base Unit for your product.
  • Select the right recipe for your product from the list if recipes have been created in the system. Recipes are created
    "The "Warehouse" feature at Solmio HQ. The "Warehouse" feature is a premium service which
    allows the user to monitor stock balances, import deliveries and take inventory
    stock products. Recipe reduces predefined stock products from the system
    automatically after each sale. More on this in section 4.3 Recipes.
  • If you wish, you can activate the Open quantity and price input, by placing in the box for the taxi
    in the box. These features affect the sales process of the product. If a product has these
    features are activated, the checkout will always ask you for the quantity of the product or the
    the price. This allows the seller to influence the quantity and price of the final product sold.

  • PRODUCT PRICING
  • Specify the Default price at which the product is sold.
  • Under the Pricing heading, you must select the outlets where the product will be sold, select
    for these outlets, select Enabled. Under the same heading you can specify
    the price per point of sale for the product.
    NOTE! The product will only be available for sale in "In Use" outlets.

  • ADD A PRODUCT TO A PRODUCT GROUP
  • If you want to add a product to a product group, go to Product groups, select the product group and then
    Add a product to a group. There can be more than one product group and you can add them retroactively.
  • Finally, click Save changes.
  • NOTE! Solmio HQ advises you to restart the Solmio Cashbook application after saving changes. This should be done as soon as possible to ensure that the
    the changes take effect at the cash desk. If, when the changes are made, the point of sale selling the product
    if the Solmio app has been enabled on the POS device, you should avoid selling the product at the checkout, so as not to
    sales are not recorded incorrectly in the system.
